As part of Pride in Luxembourg, Rosa Chimenti. invites you to discover Waacking in a brand new OPEN MOVERS workshop!

Born in the 1970s within the LGBT+ clubs of the African-American and Afro-Latino communities, Waacking is a subtle mix of acting, technique, groove, and attitude. More than just a dance, it’s a way to express and celebrate one’s difference and extravagance. Both glamorous and funky, it’s characterised by feminine poses combined with sharp, technical arm movements.

The workshop will start with a collective warm-up, followed by a series of drills (arm techniques), and will finish with learning a choreography to fully immerse yourself in the festive world of Waacking.

Having traveled to several countries around the world, Rosa built her career as a professional dancer and dance teacher, training with renowned choreographers and specializing in Waacking for over 10 years.
