Ziele
Das heutige "Luxembourg City Tourist Office" (LCTO) wurde am 6. Dezember 1933 als "Syndicat Officiel d'Initiative et de Tourisme de la Ville de Luxembourg" als Vereinigung ohne Gewinnzweck nach dem Gesetz vom 21. April 1928 gegründet.
Seine Ziele sind folgende:
- die Stadt Luxemburg als touristisches und kulturelles Ziel zu fördern,
- die Initiative zur Entwicklung des Tourismus in der Stadt Luxemburg zu ergreifen,
- Verwaltung eines oder mehrerer Touristeninformationsschalter, sowie jeder elektronischen Plattform, deren Ziel es ist, die Touristen zu informieren und ihnen bei der Organisation ihrer Reise zu unterstützen und zu beraten,
- Organisation von physischen und virtuellen Führungen durch Luxemburg-Stadt und das Land,
- alle Arten von Dokumentationen im Zusammenhang mit dem Tourismus zu erstellen,
- Verwaltung von permanenten oder temporären touristischen Standorten und Attraktionen,
- die Organisation von touristischen Veranstaltungen im weitesten Sinne des Wortes.
