Equilibrium synthesize elements of jazz, folk/world, classical, minimalism and the avant-garde in a mixture of free improvisation and original compositions. Iranian artist Mona Matbou Riahi living in Vienna joins the band on clarinet for the first time to present music from the new album Lento. Guitarist Mikkel Ploug and Mona met in Luxembourg at the Reset festival in neimënster.

Sissel is also the artistic directer of Trondheim Voices. On guitar and composition is Danish guitarist Mikkel Ploug, known for his work with saxophonist Mark Turner and awards winning composer Bent Sørensen. Mikkel won "Best jazz album of 2020” in Morningstar UK for his latest solo release and has received critical acclaim from jazz media such as Downbeat and Jazztimes.
