Description

Step into a world of endless possibilities and stretch yourself in our Improvising with Genre workshop!

In this fun and hands-on session, we'll explore how to take your improv skills to the next level by leaping into different genres such as blood-thirsty zombie apocalypses, action-packed adventures, emotional dramas or goofy family movies. Through playful exercises and scene work, you'll learn how to adapt your performance style, embrace genre-specific tropes, and inject new energy into your characters and scenes. Whether you’re new to improv or a seasoned performer, this workshop will challenge you to think on your feet and stretch your limits.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a deeper understanding of how genre influences storytelling, how to switch between different styles, and you may even discover some new improv skills with the help of playing with genre. At Dig Deep, we create a warm, supportive and safe environment where there is no pressure to be clever or funny; where you can just be yourself and most of all have tonnes of fun.

This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners and those with experience who want to play. At Dig Deep, we create a warm, supportive and safe environment where there is no pressure to be clever or funny; where you can just be yourself and most of all have tonnes of fun!
