• Asathor is a five-piece metal band based in Dahlem, Luxembourg, delivering a blend of Black

Metal with a modern melodic Death Metal touch, enriched by Post-Rock influences.

Known for their raw, aggressive live performances, Asathor complements their intensity with

atmospheric elements to create a dynamic and immersive live experience.

The best way to truly explore Asathor’s music is by experiencing one of their live shows, where

the full impact of their sound comes to life.

Since the release of their latest EP, Quenta Mir: Sangwa, in 2024, the band’s music concept has

From ECHO.lu

been deeply inspired by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. Asathor has embraced the label “Tolkien

Black Metal,” using their music to explore the rich lore of Middle-earth.

Formed in 2005, Asathor has shared the stage with notable acts such as: Desdemonia, Sublind,

Uada, Praise the Plaque, A secret revealed, Abglanz, Der rote Milan, and more...

However, their hunger to share the stage with more bands and perform in new venues remains

unsatisfied, as the new lineup formed in 2023 is full of fire and motivation to mark new milestones

in the band’s history.
