ADA ODA (BE)
Ada Oda is a Belgian-Italian post-punk band formed in Brussels in 2020 during lockdown by guitarist César Laloux (BRNS, Italian Boyfriend, Mortalcombat). Combining pop-rock influences with Italian lyrics, Laloux recruited vocalist Victoria Barracato, daughter of Belgian-Italian singer Frédéric François. The lineup also includes bassist Clément Marion, drummer Aurélien Gainetdinoff, and guitarist Alex De Bueger.
Blending energetic post-punk with melodic Italian pop, Ada Oda's debut album Un Amore Debole (2022) features ten concise tracks exploring love, disillusionment, and generational themes. Victoria's Italian vocals, though not her first language, add a unique charm. Their second album, Pelle d’Oca, is set for release on February 21, 2025, under 62 TV Records/Lisbon Lux Records, solidifying their growing presence in the European music scene.
