Renaturation du cours d’eau « Pétrusse »

The renaturation of the "Pétrusse" in Luxembourg is an ambitious program aimed at restoring and improving the natural environment of its valley. The main objectives of the project are: improving biodiversity by creating natural conditions for the watercourse, which will encourage the return of local fauna and flora; reducing the risk of flooding by allowing the water to flow more slowly; enhancing the quality of life by transforming the valley into an attractive green space with hiking trails, bike paths, playgrounds, and recreational facilities; adapting to climate change by improving the ecological balance and increasing the valley's resilience to extreme weather events.
