Echoes of Nature

We invite you to our upcoming show Echoes of Nature. featuring Laura Nieto’s recent paintings and Matthias Verginer’s wooden sculptures. Laura Nieto challenges herself to explore the difficulty of landscape painting, shifting her focus away from urban sceneries. Laura Nieto is not only fascinated by the green colour palette, she also engages with the idea that plant life can be designed by humans to satisfy their needs and expectations. She observes how the lines between the natural and the artificial have almost vanished. Verginer's work reflects a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, tradition, and the natural beauty of wood as a medium. Verginer's sculptures often depict human figures in various states of repose or contemplation, capturing subtle gestures and expressions with remarkable detail and sensitivity. Through his meticulous carving and sculpting techniques, he imbues his works with a sense of life and presence, inviting viewers to engage with the inner thoughts and emotions of his subjects.
