Welcome to the ride side
The City of Luxembourg has designed an ultra modern skatepark in the heart of the verdant Pétrusse Valley. An exceptional spot to discover without delay.
Pétrusse Skatepark in Luxembourg City
Surrounded by the old Vauban fortress, in the hollow of the valley, this huge, ultra modern skatepark opens onto a fabulous backdrop. Designed as a public square with its bleachers, its walkways, it is a meeting place, an ideal playground for board sports enthusiasts. Skateboarding, rollerblading, BMX, scootering, beginners, curious, enthusiasts ... The infrastructure allows everyone to learn, discover or practice.
This site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we couldn't do just anything, it was imperative that the park blend into the surroundings.

Plan and features
An ideal skatepark imagined by skaters
What does an ideal skatepark look like? A space perfectly integrated into the surrounding nature, in the heart of the city, with sliding modules accessible to all. In any case, this is the interpretation given to the creators of the project: the Luxembourg Skatepark association, the city services and the architect, skateboarder himself, Samuel Stambul.
With 3500m² of surface area, this vast space offers a variety of structures for all urban sports and all levels.
Bowl
Its 600m² are located on a high plateau. It is surrounded by bleachers to comfortably accommodate a large audience. We welcome its pool coping nearly 1 km long (replica of the edge of the pool on which you can slide). Another particularity of this bowl: its cradle is this half-sphere planted vertically which allows great freedom of figures.
Street plaza
A 600 m² area with street obstacles: stairs (staircase), rail (ramp), bench (bench)...
Classical street area
A course of optimised skateboard tracks with board games including pyramids, curbs (slider blocks), etc.
This is a heritage context since we are facing the Vauban Citadel classified as a UNESCO heritage. We are therefore on a sensitive site, which must be respected by harmoniously integrating the project into the landscape.
